Adventurer on deck

Adventurer has one long cabin top. Note that the mainsail lowers and is flaked down on its boom. Some Cherubini 48s have in-mast furling.

The main staysail traveler is on the cabin top and its control lines (furler, clew outhaul, and traveller controls) come back to the cockpit.

The cockpit is particularly commodious for both cruising and racing because it lacks a bridge deck. The navigation station is visible below to starboard.

The companionway doors are very special. The door is a folding door, so it can open and close easily. The door also is divided, so the lower portion can be closed when seas might break into the cockpit.

In addition, the top and bottom can both be lifted off their hinges and stowed below, to get them completely out of the cockpit.

Adventurer is race-ready. Her fisherman staysail is ready to hoist out of the bag. Her spinnaker pole, stowed in front of the mast, already has the foreguy rigged.

The Cherubini 48s have distinctive ornamentation on the stern quarter as well as a very distinctive rudder top.
