Restoration & Maintenance
Cherubini Yachts has extensive experience in long-term boat maintenance and restoration of older yachts. We have serviced our own boats and other companies' boats for decades. We know what to look for. We do not merely cover up problems with nice paint. Our approach is to perform complete repairs on existing or potential problems and restore boats to their original strength and beauty. We also repair, restore, and update mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to keep boats modern. We make no compromises when it comes to safety, reliability, and seaworthiness. We also have full facilities for high quality finish work, including Awlgrip paints and similar finishes as well as for brightwork. We follow the standards of the American Boat and Yacht Council.

| Two Cherubini 44's and an Alberg 35 are in the shop for service work. (April 2004) The boat on the right is gorgeously restored and back sailing in Chesapeake bay. |
Our service work is the highest quality because our workers are highly skilled and experienced in yacht work. Some have worked on Cherubini yachts for decades; some have been trained at the Landing School in boat building. All are superb craftsmen, fully aware that a yacht must be seaworthy and beautiful.

Projected costs of our service work are carefully estimated and are provided to the owner in great detail. We often can complete a job below our estimates. Depending on their size, restoration projects can take take three, six, or more months in the shop. These jobs must be scheduled in advance, so if you are thinking of refurbishing, please contact us early.
We usually can fit in smaller jobs on short notice. Painting aluminum spars? Repairing rot at the top or bottom of a wooden mast? Rebuilding a wooden hatch or skylight? Need a new washboard? Rudder damaged? Feel free to contact us. |
